Oxfam Trailtrekker
With successful 100km Trailwalker events all over the globe Oxfam came to WildFox Events to organise Trailtrekker, a 100km foot challenge in Northern England. After considering a number of options we settled on the very scenic Yorkshire Dales and a varied route with lots of different types of terrain.
The first event took place in May 2009 and saw 696 people register to take on this tough challenge. We were blessed by one of the best weekends of the summer and the participants were all blown away by the scenery especially on the top of Pen-y-Ghent where the views stretched right over to the Irish Sea.
The fundraising potential of this is massive the fundraising team at Oxfam is a real powerhouse. The 2009 raised over £280,000 but its potential is much higher.
