Following over 6 years working on events in Edinburgh, Fiona upped sticks in January 2011 to the country to join the WildFox team. Having always been more of a hiking boots than heels kind of gal it’s the perfect move. Fiona’s background is in organising charity fundraisers, glitzy award ceremonies and corporate conferences. Having coped with a variety of challenges in the corporate events market, including a venue collapsing due to snow and a Royal visit, she is now keen to put her skills to work organising outdoor charity challenges. A Duke of Edinburgh Expedition Assessor for over 10 years, Fiona has taught countless youngsters the skills required to make it through an expedition, including navigation and training, and now hopes to be able to pass on these skills to those taking part in the many WildFox challenges. 

Likes

  • Seeing the sheer elation on peoples faces as they come through the finish line at our events.
  • Recce-ing the events, how can it be a bad day at work when you're out in the hill?!?
  • The brilliant people the WFE team work with throughout the season, a fantastic bunch.
  • Lunch time walks up the hill, and the views we get everyday of the Loch & Ben Lawers range - always changing, always amazing.
 
Dislikes
  • The midges we get at a few of our events.  
  • Sorting out event sponsor banners - love sponsors, not so keen on their banners when they get wet & muddy!
